Maintenance and Repairs
All stringed instruments require periodic maintenance, and it is important to us that our violins and violas are kept in the best possible condition. To this end, we offer a free initial check-up, including any necessary adjustments to the set-up. Please contact us at 734-665-1303 for arrangements. We can send you a case and box for transportation, and we will even cover the cost of shipping the instrument back to you. Damage and wear is not covered.
In addition, we are happy to help take care of your violin or viola on a long-term basis. If you are interested in any maintenance or repairs on your Joseph Curtin instrument, call us at 734-665-1303. After your initial check-up, the cost of shipping both ways is your responsibility.
It should be noted that Joseph Curtin Studios performs repairs only on its own instruments. If you are interested in having repairs done on an instrument not made by Joseph Curtin Studios, please contact a restoration specialist, such as Shar Fine Instruments, at sharnet@sharmusic.com.
