
MacArthur Fellowship
In 2005, Joseph Curtin was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship,
one of about twenty-five recipients chosen each year on the basis of
"extraordinary originality and dedication in their creative pursuits."

Fellows come from a broad range of fields; past recipients include novelists, physicists, playwrights, evolutionary biologists, sculptors, poets, entrepreneurs, musicians, social scientists, humanists, and teachers. Fellowships come with $500,000 in unrestricted funds, paid in quarterly installments over a five-year term.
